Spiders Don’t Pay My Rent, But They Earn Their Keep

Written by E. Nikki Miralieva

Spiders don’t fly all over the place,

Or obnoxiously zip straight into my face (Ow).

They’re quiet, they’re calm, they don’t make a noise,

They’re better role models for middle school boys.

Spiders kill the pests that threaten my peace,

Who dart from filth to my lunch, and spread germs with ease

They keep to themselves, they mind their own business

They don’t like to bite me, so I never catch sickness.

Spiders have quite the artistic eye(s),

They’re patient and careful, respectfully shy.

They conserve energy, venom, and silk,

If I could take one as a roommate, you can bet that I will!
